Tour overview

The Fantastic Mardi Himal Trip is located near the Annapurna Base Camp trek, one of Nepal’s most famous trekking locations. The Mardi Himal hike is a hidden gem. Mardi Himal is superbly located at Annapurna region with the amazing views of mount Fish tail.
The scenery immediately changes to a harsh high-alpine environment with spectacular views of Mardi Himal, Machapuchre, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli.
From High Camp (3700m; some maps wrongly list 3900 m), it takes around 3–4 hours to reach Mardi Himal Base Camp, which gives superb close-up views of the entire Annapurna Range. Along the way, there are basic guesthouses and homestays. If you intend to do this trek during the winter, please check with a Wilderness Excursion—Katmandu-based registered adventure trekking business run by enthusiastic trekking pioneers.
When should you go trekking?
Autumn Season: Nepal is at its peak and the most OK time to go trekking from September to November. March to May is the second best time of year to go hiking. December through January: the skies are clear, but it can get quite cold, and snowfall is possible to close routes.
May-June is Nepal’s hot pre-monsoon season, when temperatures can soar. Although green leaves have sprung, the valleys are beginning to bloom with flowers. It’s still an excellent time to go hiking.
This is the monsoon season in Nepal, and it is the least popular time to go trekking. The likelihood of leeches and downpours increases significantly. Because of the early forested regions, sponges are particularly active in Mardi Himal this time of year! At this time of year, wear long hiking pants tucked in. It would help if you also had leech or mosquito repellent spray.
