Tour overview

The expert review the Manslu Trek as the one of the best trek in Nepal. The Manaslu Trek remains secluded and less congested than the well-known teahouse treks in Nepal, despite its recent growth in popularity. The hike around Mount Manaslu is the eighth-highest summit in the world at 8,163 meters (26,781 ft).

The Manaslu Circuit Trek begins in Soti Khola, a lovely town on the Budhi Gandaki River at an elevation of 700 meters above sea level. To get to Kutang, or lower Nubri, we walk north along the amazing, mountain-capped high path via expansive Gurung settlements perched on high, terraced hilltops covered in rhododendron. The place is the big beautiful land keeping the varieties of rice paddies, terraced fields, and domestic buffalo with traditional; villages vibes of Nepal. Here, the people of Tibetan descent speak a dialect that is a mix of Tibetan and Gurung and have lives that straddle both Nepal and Tibet.

We share the paths with yak caravans as we trek to the Manaslu Circuit, which ascends to the upper Nubri, immersed in Tibetan culture and tradition. Here, Tibetan communities have been carved out of the wilderness by Tibetan refugees, and trade with Tibet continues as it has for decades. The breathtaking mountain views, which are dominated by Manaslu itself, as well as the day hikes to Pun Gyen Gompa, Manaslu Base Camp from Sama Gaun and Rui La, a historic trade route to Tibet at the Nepal-Tibet border from Samdo Village, the valley above Samdo near the border with Tibet, and the epic crossing of the snow-covered Manaslu Larke Pass to the Bimtang This quick Manaslu Circuit Trek trip is designed for physically healthy, robust individuals with prior trekking experience who have already acclimatized in the Alps or Himalaya and who want to visit the magnificent Manaslu region quickly. If you’re looking for a leisurely and pleasant Manaslu trek, we advise choosing either our 18-day trek around the mountain, which allows for a good acclimatization process and a leisurely journey, or our Manaslu Trek via Tsum Valley, which takes at least 21 days to accomplish.
