Tour overview
One of the most famous Himalayan treks, the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek located at Nepal’s eastern region. In Nepal the word Kanchenjunga refers to Crystal clear which denotes it purity and shiness. The third-highest mountain in the world, Kanchenjunga (858 m), is also known for the “Five Treasures of the Great Snow,” which include gold, silver, precious stones, grain, and the holy texts. The renowned Kanchenjunga mountain is located in Nepal’s northeast and is surrounded by Sikkim, India. Kanchenjunga can be seen from India, Bhutan, and Tibet due to the mountain’s location being split between Nepal and India.
The Arun valley, which is regarded as Nepal’s most picturesque trekking location, is traversed on the path to Kanchenjunga Base Camp. The Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, which spans 2035 square kilometers, is one of the primary trek’s highlights. Wildlife, including Himalayan black bears, musk deer, snow leopards, red pandas, and many more species, can be found in the area, along with a wide variety of flora and fauna. Landscapes along the route to basecamp range from subtropical woods to alpine grasslands, low river basins to glacier moraine, and stony scree slopes.
The North and South Base Camps are visited during this tour of Mount Kanchenjunga. Before the majority of Kanchenjunga itself is visible, you will enjoy fantastic views of Tent Peak, Nepal Peak, and Cross Peak as you approach the north side of the mountain.
The journey returns to Ghunsa from Pangpema on the north side of Kanchenjunga, crosses Mirgin La pass, and then continues on to the south side. After crossing this pass, you continue on the road past Oktang and Ramche, where you can see the south-west face of Kanchenjunga in amazing detail.
Throughout the walk, hikers are able to see panoramic views of the tall mountain peaks, including Makalu (8481m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), Lhotse (8516m), and Everest (8848m). Trekkers get the chance to learn about the Sherpa, Rai, Limbu, and Gurung cultures and ways of life because they coexist in the Kanchenjunga region.

Itinerary
When you land at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport, a member from our agency gets you up and drives you to the lodge. Spend the night in Kathmandu at a four-star hotel.
On the second day you will get the free time to explore the culture and other beautiful market of Kathmandu valley. Likewise, you can buy some useful stuff for your Trek from Thamel Market.
We'll fly this morning for 45 minutes to Biratnagar, an Indus trail town in eastern Nepal's lowlands. From there, we'll drive to Hille, a Tibetan settlement at an altitude of about 1800 meters, where we'll set up tent for the first time this evening.
We set out on our hike today, following a ridge to Buranse Danda and the Tamur River. We will reach Shidua at the summit of this ridge, where we will set up camp for the night.
After breakfast, we'll walk through a forest to Chitre while keeping an eye out for local species. The trail's greatest attractions include vistas of Mt. Makalu and Chamlang, and we continue on through rhododendron forests to the village of Door Pani, where we will set up tent for the night.
We make a gradual ascent through other rhododendron trees to a mountain ridge before descending to the settlement of Tongise Phedi and continuing to Chanki, a summer grazing region. We travel across grassy plains while keeping a constant eye on Mount Makalu. The Kanchenjunga range soon appears, and we arrive at the mani stone-lined Mongol Bharai Pass. For our camp, we descend to Gupa Pokhari Lake.
Today, with Mt. Jannu and Mt. Kanchenjunga in the background, we cross a pass at 9,922 feet, drop through a thick forest toward Gurja Gaon, and then continue to descend to Nesum (5,297 feet). Our camp is in Nesum.
Today, we travel to Taplejung, the region's administrative center. We walk past rice fields on the way down to Doban before beginning our ascent of the Tamur River to Taplejung.
We camp close to Chirwa, a lovely town with a few tea houses and shops, while we continue up the Timur River in a valley inhabited by the Limbu peoples, who are descended from the Kirati warriors who governed Nepal at the beginning of Nepalese history.
Past Tapethok, we continue up the Tamur and cross the Yalung Glacier-formed Simbuwa Khola River. In order to enter the Ghunsa Khola valley and set up camp at Sakathum, we must ascend over another hill.
We cross the river on a rocky, constrained path. The Ghunsa Khola may be seen beautifully from the high points. We reach Amjilassa, a town perched on a mountainside, after a difficult descent on the path.
In the upcoming five days, we'll be doing some serious climbing! We ascend hard ascents from the Ghunsa Khola to Kyapar, which is set in the heart of terraced hills at a height of roughly 1000 feet
We leave Kyapar and ascend the Ghunsa Khola's right bank in a short amount of time. After leaving the Phere village, we go through rhododendron trees, ascend a short hill, then descend to the Ghunsa Khola and cross a wooden bridge to reach the settlement of Ghunsa.
We can see the Jannu Glacier today. We later see Mt. Jannu in the distance (25,289 ft). To go to our camp at Khambachan, we decend the mountainside.
Now that we are well-rested, we will begin some actual climbing. We make our way up to the Kanchenjunga Glacier's edge and then descend to the Lhonak Glacier. We reach Lhonak, where we set our tent and have a view of Mera Peak (20,208 ft.)
Today, we'll enjoy beautiful views of Kanchenjunga's imposing peak.
Depending on the weather we decide whether to cross Lapsang La, the higher pass at 17,000 feet, or Mirgin La, the lower pass at 15,000 feet, today.
To recoup from the exertion of the previous day, we will relax once again today.
We camp at Ramche while going to the Simbuwa Khola valley.
For a magnificent perspective of the Kanchenjunga south face from a chorten at around 15,000 feet, we travel by day to the Yalung glacier. Later, we go to Tseram to spend the night.
From today, we are beginning to descend. We gradually descend to Torontan at 9,800 feet amid rhododendron trees.
Today, we travel down to Yamphudin (5,360 ft. ) The first actual village since Ghunsa, Yamphudin is a mixed settlement of Sherpas, Limbus, Rais, and Gurungs.
From Yamphudin, we descend to the Kabel Khola and ascend to Ponphe (5,500 feet), where we will set up tent.
We travel from Ponphe to a peak at 5,700 feet. We make our way downhill via a number of side valleys through the settlement of Phun to Kesawa (6,120 ft.). The route keeps ascending to Bhanjyang, where there is a Gurung settlement (6,640ft.) The trail then descends to the Limbu settlement of Khunjari after crossing a ridge from here (5,250 ft. ). We set our tent below, along Pha Khola's banks.
Today, we fly down to Taplejung Airport to spend the night.
Following a warmly cherished trek, we take a flight this morning from Taplejung to Kathmandu.
On the second last day of your tour you can take rest and can buy some souvenirs for memories of Nepal, at evening you can visit the traditional market of Bhaktapur and Basantapur.
On the last day of trek oyou will be dropo at Kathmandu airport for final goodbye.
