The Ganesh Himal trek is ideal for people of all ages because it allows you to get a taste of rural life through homestay trekking, the trail takes you towards the breathtaking mountain scenery; and observe the variety of unique ethnic groups with cultures, traditions, and religious practices that are nearby to this area.
A trek to Nepal’s central east is one of the least traveled regions of the Himalayas, which is located between the two most well-known trekking locations, Manaslu to the west and Langtang to the east. The trek to the Ganesh Himal leads you through a splendorous secret valley where you can discover a diverse range of civilizations and natural settings. The peak is named after the Hindu god Ganesh, who has an elephant head with a human body.
This region offers views of the peaks (Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, Ganesh IV), Mount Manasalu, the Tibet range, Langtang, and Annapurna, as well as unspoiled natural beauty and a variety of fauna. You get the chance to photograph the scenic scenes of mountains, waterfalls, Saint George, dramatic landscape paintings, towering cliffs, and stunning rock formations when traveling through the Ganesh Himal region. Our 18-day Ganesh Himal trek plan takes us from Balche to Dhading Besi, traversing through alpine meadows and ending at a massive glacier beneath snow-capped mountains.
After a short drive from Kathmandu, the trek begins in Betrawati. From Betrawati, we hike up to Singla Pass, the hike’s highest point. The trail travels through a dense bamboo, pine, and fir forest in the Himalayas. From Singla pass (4,000 m/13,000 ft), we will have a panoramic view of the Ganesh Himal massif (7,893 m), Manaslu (8,156 m), Annapurna (8,091 m), and Langtang. The trail descends to Sertung and Chalish after the Singla pass. We relaxed at the hot spring on Ganesh Himal’s lap, the following day and then started out for Neber to see the most beautiful scenery from the Ri Gaun of the town of Jharlang, which is located at the other end. We arrive at Jyamrung Danda, the end of the trek, after two days of hiking from Ri Gaun. Before taking a bus to Dhading Besi, we will return to Kathmandu. This location allows us the chance to locate the historical royal home and observe the dawn.
